Last week, Samsung unveiled three new mid-range smartphonesGalaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73—at its Galaxy Awesome Unpacked 2022 event. Now, the company has announced that it is launching the Galaxy A53 in India. It did not unveil any information regarding the Galaxy A33 and the Galaxy A73.

The Galaxy A53 will be available in India in two memory configurations: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. The base variant of the phone carries a price tag of INR 34,499 (around $454), while the 8GB RAM variant is priced at INR 35,999 (around $473).

This pricing is much higher than the Galaxy A52 that was launched last year with a price tag of INR 26,499 (around $365) for the 6GB RAM variant and INR 27,999 (around $385) for the 8GB RAM variant. The Galaxy A53 now costs as much as the launch price of the Galaxy A72. It's possible that Samsung might not launch the Galaxy A73 in India.

The Galaxy A53 will be available in India in four color variants: Black, Light Blue, Peach, and White. The smartphone is now available for pre-booking via Samsung.com and other online and offline retail stores. Buyers can pre-book the phone till March 31, 2022.

The South Korean firm is offering a cashback of INR 3,000 (around $40) to those who pre-book the Galaxy A53 in India. Those who go through the Samsung Finance+ route to buy the device will get a cashback of INR 2,000 (around $26).
