Latest Galaxy S22 series leak leaves nothing to look forward to

These days it's difficult to prevent an upcoming device from leaking. Time and again we've seen Samsung's new devices being leaked online months before they're due to be launched. So it's not surprising to see the Galaxy S22 series receive similar treatment.

There have already been many leaks concerning Samsung's next flagship smartphone lineup. The latest that has emerged today leaves nothing to look forward to at the actual launch event, at least from a design standpoint.

Dummy units of the Galaxy S22 series reveal everything

The folks at British retailer MobileFun have shared images of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra dummy units. These are the units that you usually see in some retail installations. They're also used by third-party accessory manufacturers to prepare their products since the dimensions are true to size of the real deal.

This isn't the first time we're seeing dummies of the Galaxy S22 handsets. These images give us a good look at all three models. The design isn't all that exciting for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ with the exception of a slight change in the camera cut out.

As we've already seen multiple times, the major design change has been reserved for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It has a boxy silhouette like the Galaxy Note handsets. The dummy unit also confirms reports that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have an internal silo to store the S Pen.

The retailer also mentions that Samsung will be selling replacement S Pen for the Galaxy S22 Ultra in black, white, red and green colors. That's in line with the color projects for the new flagship as well.

That's the problem with leaks. There won't be much that surprises us when Samsung ultimately unveils the Galaxy S22 series next year. It's not like there won't be any more leaks before that, but that's just the way it goes now.
