India was the first country where the Galaxy S23 FE was launched. The device was announced a few weeks ago, and it was gradually launched in other countries, including South Korea and the US. The North American version of the phone features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, while the other version uses the Exynos 2200 chip. The version launched in India uses the Exynos processor, but it looks like the company is bringing the Snapdragon version of the phone to the Indian market as well.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version of Galaxy S23 FE could launch in India

Samsung has started teasing the launch of a new phone in India. The company has uploaded an image on Flipkart that says “The New Epic.” Looking at the artwork, it looks like the Galaxy S23 FE. However, since the Galaxy S23 FE is already available in India, the company could launch the smartphone's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version in the country. This is similar to what happened with the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S21 FE in India. However, in those instances, the Snapdragon versions of the phones were launched at least six months after the launch of the Exynos versions.

In the case of the Galaxy S23 FE, it looks like Samsung is launching the Snapdragon version of the phone just a couple of months after the launch of the Exynos version. If this happens, it could anger some Galaxy S23 FE buyers who purchased the Exynos version of the phone because the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is a bit more power-efficient than the Exynos 2200.

    Galaxy S23 FE specifications

The Galaxy S23 FE has a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 10MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The phone has 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

The phone can record 4K 60fps videos using the front and primary rear cameras. The other cameras can record 4K 30fps videos. Samsung has equipped the phone with an in-display fingerprint reader and stereo speakers. The Galaxy S23 FE has 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port, Samsung Pay, and Samsung DeX. The device runs Android 13 out of the box and has already received the Android 14 update.
