The Galaxy S23 FE has been priced at $599 in the US, which makes it $100 cheaper than the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21 FE. And now, Samsung India has revealed how much customers in the world's most populous country will have to pay to purchase its latest Fan Edition phone.
The Galaxy S23 FE will come in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB memory and storage configurations, with the former priced at INR 59,999 and the latter at INR 64,999. These prices are around INR 10,000 higher than the Galaxy S21 FE's, confirming that the aggressive pricing in the US hasn't carried over to Indian shores.
MRP | Effective Price After Discounts | |
Galaxy S23 FE 128GB | INR 59,999 | INR 49,999 |
Galaxy S23 FE 256GB | INR 64,999 | INR 54,999 |
However, Samsung usually launches new phones in India with some exciting offers attached to bring the price down, and that's true for the Galaxy S23 FE as well. While Samsung doesn't go into full detail about those offers, it says that consumers can knock INR 10,000 off the final price of both memory configurations by taking advantage of bank cashback and an upgrade bonus for those exchanging an old device.
Samsung isn't saying which banks the cashback will apply to or how much the exact cashback value will be, though for the former, we would assume that it will either be ICICI or HDFC. The Galaxy S23 FE will also be available on a 24-month installment plan without any interest, but once again, Samsung doesn't reveal the names of the banks that will let people buy the phone on the no-interest installment plan.
But more details should follow soon, perhaps once the Galaxy S23 FE is listed on the Samsung India website and Amazon.in. That will happen tomorrow, October 5, with a live sale event that starts at 12 pm; those making a purchase during that event will get a free Galaxy S23 FE silicone case worth INR 2,499.
As for the release date, Samsung says it will start delivering orders from October 7, at least for those who buy the phone in the next two days. There's no mention of a separate shipping date for those who buy the phone after October 7, though we're guessing Samsung won't make consumers wait too long.
