It has been more than a year since Samsung released a high-end tablet. Its current-generation high-end tablets include the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. The company is expected to bring the successors to the Galaxy Tab S8 series in the second half of this year, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and more information about those tablets has been leaked.

According to our friends at GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Tab S9 series will consist of three models: Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. All three models will be launched in Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + 5G versions. As usual, Samsung will launch them in the US as well. The model numbers of all three Galaxy Tab S9 tablets are listed below.

    Galaxy Tab S9 model numbers

    • Galaxy Tab S9: SM-X710 (Wi-Fi), SM-X716B (5G Global), SM-X718U (5G US)
    • Galaxy Tab S9+: SM-X810 (Wi-Fi), SM-X816B (5G Global), SM-X818U (5G US)
    • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra: SM-X910 (Wi-Fi), SM-X916B (5G Global), SM-X918U (5G US)

A few weeks ago, we exclusively revealed that Samsung is bringing the IP67 rating for dust and water resistance to its upcoming tablets. They would probably be the only high-end tablets in the world to feature water resistance. We can also expect the next-generation tablets to feature the latest version of Android (13) and One UI (5.1) as well as the most powerful processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy.

We can also expect Samsung to bring improved camera performance, an AKG-tuned quad-speaker setup, a fingerprint reader, and more advanced software features with the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Whether or not Samsung switches to OLED screens for all Galaxy Tab S9 models remains to be seen.
