Galaxy Note 6 to break cover in early-August

According to Evan Blass a.k.a @evleaks, the Galaxy Note 6 (also known as the Note 7) will be announced “exactly two months” from now. As we’re already into the second day of June, we’re bound to believe that Samsung will unveil the new phablet some time by the first week of August, or the 2nd of August to be precise.

Blass has been pretty accurate with leaks before, so there’s no reason to doubt this particular revelation. But we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now until more evidence emerges. As for the features to expect from Samsung’s latest Note flagship, it has been rumored that it will come with a dual-lens camera, which sounds like a bit of a stretch at the moment, but cannot be written off.

We broke the exclusive story about the Galaxy Note 6 featuring a BlackBerry Hub like feature known as Samsung Hub, so a lot will be different with this year’s Note flagship. In terms of display, the Galaxy Note 6/7 should be sporting a 5.7-inch 4K or Quad HD Super AMOLED display. There’s talk of a Galaxy Note 7 edge as well, though no concrete evidence has come up to support the rumors.

whatever they do, please, please don’t stick a glass back on it. Quite possibly the most idiotic choice of case material you could make. Carbon fibre, metal, bamboo or even good old plastic to name a few would make a better case material than glass.

Yeah sure and when they used plastic I bet you were always the first one to complain about it looking cheap.

I am standing firm on my statement that if it has no IR blaster I am going to the iphone 7. Not worth waiting on Samsung any longer. After the Note 4 Samsung has tried to copy Apple .

Brilliant, if the Note 6/7 has no IR blaster you will move to a phone with even less features. That will show them.

In a lack of sales, yes it will.

Oh, and while we’re at it, an iPhone at least gets software updates and will be supported for years unlike SamSuck’s 6 month drop off.

I get small updates every so often, and I have had some biggies,
my November build 2014 note 4 started off with kit kat, then updated to lollipop 5.0, then 5.1.1 , and soon hopefully to be getting marshmallow , so it’s not like we don’t get updates, would we like them maybe a tiny bit faster? Yes, but look at the majority of other android devices, the situation is similar.

If you like iphones so much, what are you doing in an Android forum ??
I have just heard that crapple have won the Prestigious Award for Most Boring Phone every year since iphone was announced back in 2007/8.
Congratulations to apple on having the ability to do this. 🙂
The ONLY reason why apple can get updates to ios to all their phones quickly is because they only make a limited amount of phone models .

whatever this new note is designated as, be it note 6 or 7 , it is sounding pretty good if the leaks are anything to go by , hopefully Samsung revives the new note to its former glory as a power users device.

It’s all a guessing game as Samsung refuses to present us with any information.

I was looking at a S7 Edge earlier this evening and wondered how Sammy would fit an S Pen in either of the sides on the phone. Too thin.
The Note 4 Edge was quite chunky on S Pen side, – can’t see that happening with Note 7. I would prefer it in Note 4 shape. Not long to wait to find out
