Where to watch Samsung’s July 26 Galaxy Unpacked event

After countless leaks and rumors hinting that the next Galaxy Unpacked launch event will kick off in late July rather than August or September, Samsung finally broke the silence today and confirmed the exact date and time.

For the first time, Samsung will host its Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea. Officially, the event is to take place on July 26. The company previously said July 27 but did so on a page it has since retracted from its Australian portal, hence the timezone discrepancy.

If you're worried about missing out on the big reveal due to it happening in South Korea rather than the USA or Europe, fret not. As usual, Galaxy Unpacked will be live-streamed. Samsung fans everywhere will be able to join the company on stage in Seoul, virtually, through the Internet.

If you want to watch Galaxy Unpacked as it happens, the event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung's YouTube channel on July 26 beginning at 8:00 PM KST / 7:00 AM ET / 4:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM BST. Or you can bookmark this page for later reference and watch the live stream embedded below as soon as it goes live.

What highlights can we expect from Galaxy Unpacked in Seoul?

Ever since the Galaxy Note series got the axe, the 2nd major Unpacked event of the year became almost all about foldable phones. And this year will be no exception, with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 set to take center stage.

Based on recent leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be the more exciting release simply because it will represent a bigger technological leap over its predecessor compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Both upcoming foldables will boast a refined exterior design, but the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will introduce a new cover display with a larger footprint.

Samsung should also unveil three new Galaxy Tab S9 tablets at Unpacked, and this year, the base model might be upgraded from an LCD panel to an AMOLED display.

And finally, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 6 series, which should bring back the physical rotating bezel.

Whether or not Samsung has more in store for its fans remains to be seen. The company may or may not unveil its new XR (mixed reality) headset at Unpacked, and the same goes for its upcoming Fan Edition devices, which should consist of a smartphone and a couple of new tablets.
