Unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets the August 2021 security update

After releasing new software updates to the Galaxy A21s, Galaxy M01, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung has released an update to the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the US.

The unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has started getting a new software update in the US. It comes with firmware version F916U1UEU2EUH8 and includes the August 2021 security patch. The South Korean smartphone giant had mentioned last month that its August 2021 security patch fixes more than 40 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.

The update might also include One UI 3.1.1 features like Bedtime Mode quick setting toggle, App Split View, Auto Rotate All Apps, Cover Screen Mirroring, Customized App Aspect Ratios, Drag & Split, Favorite Apps Taskbar, Flex Mode Panel, Multi-Active Window, and Natural Window Switching.

If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 2 user on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile's networks, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
