We're a few weeks away from the Unpacked event where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. This means more leaks as the event draws near, and today's leak brings us a few renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The perception so far has been that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be thinner than its predecessor and will also have larger displays. This is reflected in the renders that have been leaked online.
The renders posted by AndroidHeadlines showcase a very slim Galaxy Z Fold 7 in Blue Shadow and Jet Black colors. Blue is likely the hero color for Samsung's upcoming products, as we've also seen renders of the new Galaxy Watch Ultra in the new blue color way.
It's unclear precisely how slim the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is. Some rumors have suggested a profile of 4-4.5mm when unfolded. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is 5.6mm when unfolded so evidently it's going to be quite a major reduction.
That's something we've seen Samsung hint at in its recent social media posts as well, it really wants to drive the point home that the new foldables are considerably slimmer. The cover display also appears to be larger, likely coming in at 6.5-inch compared to 6.3-inch on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The foldable panel may also be going up to 8.2-inch from 7.6-inch. It's also likely that the device is considerably lighter than its predecessor.
This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting upgrades for Samsung's top-of-the-line foldable as yet. All will be revealed at Samsung's next Unpacked event which is reportedly taking place in New York City on July 9th.
