Samsung has been testing Android 14 and One UI 6.0 for its devices for some time now and could launch the One UI 6.0 beta program as early as sometime this week. Public beta testing will start with the Galaxy S23 series, but similar to previous One UI betas, we expect this one to be released for many older devices, including the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra.
And speaking of the Galaxy S21 lineup, Samsung has started internal testing of One UI 6.0 for it, as revealed by @tarunvats33 on Twitter. Internal test builds have been discovered on Samsung's servers in India and the UK. To be more precise, Samsung is testing One UI 6.0 firmware for the Plus model, with G996BXXU9FWG6 as the software version.
Early Android 14 firmware no doubt exists for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra as well. As for the Galaxy S21 FE, we don't expect it to get any One UI 6.0 beta updates, as it was also kept out of the One UI 5 beta program last year. Of course, Samsung is welcome to switch things up, but we wouldn't recommend getting your hopes up for now.
Before One UI 6.0, Samsung could release the One UI 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy S21 series. One UI 5.1.1 will debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 and will then be released for some older devices, although there's also a good chance Samsung will take most Galaxy devices that are currently running One UI 5.1 directly to One UI 6.0.
