Samsung has updated the SmartThings app on Android, which means that it is now available on all compatible smartphones and tablets. The company has added a new section that better showcases all the new features that SmartThings has received, letting users explore them to know more.

The latest version (1.7.98.21) of the SmartThings app is now available on the Google Play Store, so every Android smartphone and tablet user can download and install it. According to the official changelog of the newly updated app, the new Explore section in the app will help users get the most out of it by showcasing all the new features. You can access the menu by navigating to Menu » Explore.

Samsung has been updating the SmartThings app on Android, iOS, and Tizen OS (for TVs) consistently. SmartThings is among the world's biggest smart home platforms. The company added Alexa, Android Auto, Google Home, and Matter integration over the past couple of years.

On top of Matter, Samsung also added the Easy Pair functionality to SmartThings. The recently added feature shows a simple pop-up menu on Galaxy smartphones and tablets if it detects a new Matter-compatible smart home device that hasn't been set up yet.
