Samsung introduced Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24. It offers a plethora of AI-powered tools, including the ones to summarize webpages, translate text and audio from one language to another in real-time, and edit photos, which can come in very handy in day-to-day usage.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

When Samsung introduced Galaxy AI, the company said that people would be able to use the service for free till 2025, suggesting that it could start charging for those AI tools starting in 2026. Well, the South Korean tech giant is now reminding people about that timeline once again.

You might have to start paying for Galaxy AI from 2026

Samsung issued a press release earlier today announcing that it has opened seven Galaxy Experience Spaces around the world to showcase the capabilities of Galaxy AI. In the footnotes of this press release, the South Korean tech giant says “Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices,” reminding people that it could start charging them for using Galaxy AI from 2026.

Major GenAI chatbots or virtual assistants that are currently available on the market, including Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Open AI's ChatGPT arrived as free services. However, there are now paid versions of all those services — Gemini Advanced, Copilot Plus, and ChatGPT Plus — that offer more capabilities than their free versions.

Could there be Galaxy AI+ in the future?

Considering that, Samsung could offer some basic (or current) Galaxy AI features for free, and introduce a paid tier with newer and more advanced features in the future. Maybe Samsung will launch the paid version with a Plus branding, like most other companies, and call it Galaxy AI+ (Galaxy AI Plus).

As for the actual story in the press release, Samsung has introduced seven Galaxy Experience Spaces around the world where people can experience the capabilities of Galaxy AI. These experience zones are located in Paris, Berlin, New York, Dubai, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo.

If you don’t live in those regions, you can check out our video below to learn more about Galaxy AI. Below are the full addresses of those experience zones.
