Finally, after a long wait (even though it was earlier this year), Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 lineup to the world at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung has packed the Galaxy S24 series with new features, especially a bunch of AI-powered features. With the Galaxy S24 clubbed with Galaxy AI, you get a lot of AI features, such as circle to search, generative edit, live translation for phone calls, etc.

AI was the biggest selling point of the Galaxy S24 series throughout the entire presentation. While Galaxy AI is fantastic and is sufficient to lure customers into upgrading their smartphones, you should know that these features will eventually come at a cost. Yes, you heard it right! In a footnote, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra are only free for the first two years, i.e., till 2025.

There's no clarity on how much the Galaxy AI subscription would cost after the end of 2025

Here is what the official footnote reads (thanks to AdamJMatlock on X), “Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. Different terms may apply for AI features provided by third parties.” Though it is clear that the Galaxy AI features aren't free for life, there's not much clarity on what the cost of Galaxy AI will be after 2025.

Moreover, there is no information on whether all the features would require a subscription. It should be noted that all the Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S24 series run on the cloud, leaving aside the live translation feature that works on the device. While we wait for some more clarity on the subscription model of the Galaxy AI, here's how much the Galaxy S24 devices will cost you in your region.

Additionally, pre-ordering the Galaxy S24 from Verizon entitles you to get a ton of free stuff, the same is the case with T-Mobile, where the pre-order deals include a free Galaxy S24.
