As with every Unpacked event, this one will be attended by journalists and media (including SamMobile) from around the world and will be streamed online for everyone else. But Samsung also had plans to hold a live outdoor viewing for citizens and tourists.
In addition to the live viewing, which would have included performances from some K-pop artists, passersby would also have been able to try out the new products. Unfortunately, all that is now cancelled due to safety concerns rising from the severe rains that have battered Seoul in recent days and are expected to continue all through the next week.
However, for now, Samsung isn't making any changes to the schedule of the main event, which will be held indoors and will kick off at 8 PM local time (7:00 AM ET / 4:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM BST) on July 26. Could that change over the next few days? We don't think so, although there's always a chance the weather conditions will make it hard for some invitees to make it to the venue.
In any case, we'll do our best to bring you the best coverage of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9, and Galaxy Watch 6 during and after the event, so stay tuned! And remember, you still have time to participate in our #JoinTheFlipSide contest for a chance to win a free Galaxy Z Fold 5 or a free Galaxy Z Flip 5, and you can also pre-register on Samsung's website for a $50 credit that can be used to buy any of the devices that will be announced at this Unpacked!
