The new version of the Galaxy S21 FE (model number SM-G990B4) comes with the Snapdragon 888 processor. It will come in just one memory configuration: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. When Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE in early 2022, it was launched with the Snapdragon 888 chip in the US and the Exynos 2100 chip in the rest of the world. Now, the company is bringing the Snapdragon 888 version to India. It could be launched in other countries as well, but we still don't have any confirmation on that.
Samsung hasn't revealed the launch date or pricing of the Snapdragon 888 version of the Galaxy S21 FE for the Indian market. However, some rumors claim that the phone will be launched within the next couple of weeks, and its pricing could be INR 49,999 (around $611). This is the same pricing at which the Exynos 2100 version of the Galaxy S21 FE was launched in India.
The Galaxy S21 FE features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 32MP selfie camera, a 12MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The primary and telephoto cameras have OIS, and all the cameras can record 4K 60fps videos. It has 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
The phone will come with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 out of the box and will get three more Android OS updates, similar to the Exynos 2100 version of the Galaxy S21 FE. It has stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, NFC, a 4,500mAh battery, 25W fast wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
