Another Friday, another SamMobile Podcast is going live. The main topic for episode 14 is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch series. Or, more specifically, the detailed renders that popped up online a few days ago.
In case you missed the news earlier this week, worry not. Here's another chance to catch up with the latest and join the conversation around Samsung's upcoming smartwatches.
For a brief recap, 360-degree renders depicting the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro have emerged this week. They reveal pretty much everything about these watches' exterior design, including the fact that the Pro model lacks a traditional physical rotating bezel.
Instead, the Watch 5 Pro has a concave bezel surrounding the display, while the standard Galaxy Watch 5 resembles the regular Galaxy Watch 4 rather closely.
These upcoming Samsung smartwatches are said to have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and they should run One UI 4.5 on top of Wear OS 3.5.
Samsung has yet to confirm when the next major Unpacked event takes place, but preliminary reports hint at an August 10 unveiling and a market release later the same month.
