A couple of weeks ago we came across a report claiming that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will get an Under Armour-branded model. Now a render showcasing this Watch 2 variant has popped-up online via @evleaks.

According to this render, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 Under Armour edition will be released in two color options for the strap, black or gray. Said wrist straps carry the UA logo while the watch itself has a special theme featuring the same branding.

The Under Armour edition should come with MapMyRun pre-loaded

Aside from getting a fresh coat of paint and an appropriate watchface, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 Under Armour model will reportedly be integrated with the company’s MapMyRun application and include six months of free access to the service.

There will be two standard Watch Active 2 models in 40mm and 44mm sizes aside from the Under Armour edition. All the variants are expected to feature an ECG monitor which might not be active at launch due to lengthy FDA approvals. However, the Watch Active 2 is expected to take advantage of Fall Detection and Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) notifications from day one.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be officially introduced on August 5, two days before the Galaxy Note 10 series will debut in New York City. As we’ve exclusively reported not long ago, the upcoming smartwatch is expected to be the first in Samsung’s lineup to feature a touch bezel instead of a physical one. If you have an opinion regarding this design choice you can voice it below or by participating in this poll.
