Samsung's first device to run Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 software out of the box was the Galaxy Z Fold 4. A few days after the launch, the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update was first released to the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Now, the update has been released to the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

The Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 comes with firmware version T870XXU2CVH3, while the update for the Galaxy Tab S7+ bears firmware version T970XXU2CVH3. The new update is available in France and South Korea, and it will be released in other countries within a few days. The new software also includes the August 2022 security patch that fixes various security and privacy vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy Tab S7 series tablet user in France or South Korea, you can install the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

What's new with Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) update?

The One UI 4.1.1 update brings the Android 12L taskbar to the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+. It stays on the bottom of the screen and makes multitasking easier. It displays all your homescreen dock apps and currently accessed apps, which makes it easier to drag and drop apps for split-screen multitasking. You can create pairs of apps you frequently use in split-screen mode and pin them to the taskbar.

There are new multitasking gestures to switch between fullscreen and split-screen modes. All apps display a handle at the top of the window, which can be used to open apps in fullscreen or a floating window. With the new update, the Edge Panel can display the names of pinned apps.

One UI 4.1.1 also allows extracting text from images, sharing it, and even translating it into several languages (Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish). The tablet recommends several actions based on the extracted text. Text can also be extracted through the camera app and Samsung Keyboard.

With the new update, the My Files app can search within files, images, and documents, offering a much better search experience. Search results can be filtered and sorted. The Samsung Keyboard app provides a more comprehensive range of emojis, emoji pairs, stickers, and kaomoji. Editing grouped wallpapers is possible with the One UI 4.1.1 update. Samsung Internet allows the rearranging of bookmarks and favorite websites.
