Galaxy Tab Active 3 gets October 2024 security update

With only a day remaining for the month to end, Samsung is rapidly rolling out the October 2024 security patch to eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Today, it is the Galaxy Tab Active 3 getting it.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the latest security update to the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Tab Active 3 for the United States, which has the model number SM-T577U. The version of the new firmware is T577UUESBEXJ3. The October 2024 security patch fixes a total of 42 security issues.

You can get the October 2024 security patch on your Galaxy Tab Active 3 in two ways. First, by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Second, by downloading the firmware from our database (or any other platform) and installing it manually using Odin on a Windows PC.

On a related note, Samsung has kept the Galaxy Tab Active 3 on a quarterly security update schedule, which means that the brand will offer security updates to the tablet once every three months.
