The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xEXXU4CWCE. The update is currently rolling out in Argentina and Panama, and we expect it to be released in other Latin American countries within the next few days. The April 2023 security patch fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones. It also brings the Image Clipper, but you'll have to update the Gallery app and its add-on apps, including the Image Editor from the Galaxy Store.
If you have a Galaxy S22 series smartphone in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy S22 series in early 2022 with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software. In late 2022, the company released the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to the smartphones. A couple of months ago, the devices received the One UI 5.1 update with additional software features.
