Samsung announced its self-repair program in the United States last year. It teamed up with iFixit to provide genuine replacement parts, tools, and guides to those who wanted to repair their devices themselves.

The self-repair program initially supported the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 series in addition to the Galaxy Tab S7+. Samsung is now expanding this program to cover more devices. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are all covered by the Samsung self-repair program now. The initiative now covers Samsung laptops as well.

Laptops added to the self-repair program for the first time

Samsung confirmed today that its self-repair program is being expanded to five new Galaxy devices. This includes all three models of the Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy Book Pro 15″ and Galaxy Book Pro 360 15″ are also covered by the program now.

iFixit remains Samsung's partner for this initiative. As a result of this partnership, Galaxy Book owners can get seven genuine replacement parts to make their own repairs. These parts include the front and rear case, battery, display, touchpad, power key with fingerprint sensor, and rubber foot. Repair guides are also available from iFixit. Those who want to repair their own Galaxy S22 device will be able to get genuine charging ports, back glass, and display assemblies from iFixit.

For those who prefer leaving the repairs up to professionals, Samsung offers top tier service network coverage in the United States for mobile devices. The company makes it convenient for you to either arrange or a device repair online, in-store, or through Samsung's mail-in service. Samsung's We Come to You services can also be utilized to have a technician come to your office or even a coffee shop.

If you like cracking open your devices and getting your hands dirty, take full advantage of this program. The self-repair kits for all five devices added to this prgram are available for purchase starting today.
