New reports say that Samsung is planning to develop the Galaxy Ring in four sizes. But as of now, the pre-production wearable is jam-packed with features and too large. The company will work on reducing its size, and in the process, Samsung may take away some of its functions (via The Elec).

According to this new report, a Q1 release for the Galaxy Ring is unlikely. And availability depends on whether or not Samsung will want the Galaxy Ring to receive any medical certifications — an approval process that can take months to conclude.
At the earliest, the Galaxy Ring could be released in the third quarter of 2024, says the report. That's if Samsung won't pursue medical certification. Otherwise, the Galaxy Ring may have to be pushed back a few months and be scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2025.
In other words, depending on Samsung's certification plans and how fast development will progress, the Galaxy Ring could be announced alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in 2024, or perhaps next to the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025.
Incidentally, this timeframe corresponds with the company's alleged release plans for the foldable Flex Note laptop, which may have been pushed back because of unfavorable market conditions.
