Galaxy Fold gets May 2022 security update in the US

A few days ago, Samsung released its latest security patch to the international versions of the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip. Now, the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy Fold has started getting the May 2022 security update in the US.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Fold in the US comes with firmware version F900U1UES6HVD2. It includes the May 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of known privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements. Other markets could get this update within the next few days.

If you are a Galaxy Fold user in the US with a carrier-unlocked version, you can download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Fold in the second half of 2019 with Android 9 on board. The foldable phone received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the Android 12 update earlier this year.
