Last week, Samsung released the Android 13 update to one of its most popular smartphones, the Galaxy A51. Now, the company has released the same update to the 5G version of the smartphone in some European countries. The update also brings the latest security patch to the smartphone.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy A51 5G comes with firmware version A516BXXU5EVL2. The update has been released in some European countries, including France, Switzerland, and the Nordic region. We expect the Galaxy A51 5G in other European countries to get the update within the next few days. The new update also includes the December 2022 security patch that fixes 93 security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy A51 5G user in Europe, you should be able to get the Android 13 update within a matter of days. You can check for the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A51 5G in the first half of 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The popular smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in early 2022. Android 13 is the last major Android OS update for the Galaxy A51 5G.
