Samsung has released the new software update to the Galaxy A50 (SM-A505G) in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago. The latest update bears firmware version A505GUBS9CUG4 and includes the July 2021 security patch. Apart from fixing over 20 vulnerabilities mentioned in Samsung's documentation, the update could also bring general bug fixes and device stability improvements to the phone.
If you are a Galaxy A50 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. The update could reach more markets over the next few weeks.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A50 in March 2019 with Android 9 Pie on board. The smartphone received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update last year and the Android 11 update five months ago. It won't get any major Android OS updates in the future.
