Samsung is rapidly rolling out June 2023 security patch to many of its smartphones and tablets. The Galaxy A32 5G, however, has just started receiving last month’s security update, the May 2023 security patch. The latest update is rolling out the carrier-locked variant of the smartphone in the US (M-A326U).
The new update bumps the firmware version to A326USQSADWE2 and brings the May 2023 security patch. It fixes more than 70 security issues. The update is currently rolling out to devices on Sprint, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS. Those on other networks should also get the update soon. There’s no information about when the new firmware will hit the carrier-unlocked (SM-A326U1) and international (SM-A326B) versions of the device. However, expect Samsung to roll out the update to those devices in the next couple of weeks.
Your Galaxy A32 5G should automatically show you a notification alerting you about the update. However, if it hasn’t, you can check for the new firmware by heading to Settings » Software Updates and clicking Download and install. If the phone doesn’t show the latest update, you might have to wait for a few days. If you are in a hurry, you can download the new firmware from our database and flash it manually using Samsung’s Odin software.
The Galaxy A32 5G was launched in 2021 with Android 11 onboard. Samsung rolled out the Android 12 update to the device in May 2022 and the Android 13 update in December 2022. Samsung has been offering three major Android OS updates to mid-range phones, which means that the Galaxy A32 5G might get the Android 14 later this year.
