Samsung has released the Android Pie update for the Galaxy Note 9 in Nordic countries today. The software version for the update for Nordic countries is N960FXXU2CSA7, which is a newer build than the one that rolled out to other countries when the Note 9's stable Pie update was first released. It's unclear if it brings anything new other than the software version, though.

The update for the Nordic region comes with the January 2019 security patch and is a 1.6GB download over the air. If you own a Note 9 in any of the Nordic countries, you should be able to grab the update immediately by tapping the Download updates manually option in the Software update menu of the phone's Settings app. It's not available over Samsung Smart Switch or in our firmware section just yet, but we can expect to see that change in a day or so.

Once you've updated to Pie, do read up on all the new features that it brings to the Galaxy Note 9 in addition to the visual upgrades offered by Samsung's beautiful One UI. If you're in a different country, you can keep an eye out on our constantly updated list of countries where the Note 9 Pie update has been released.

One UI 6.1 highlighted one big problem Samsung’s still dealing with

Samsung has made numerous changes to its mobile strategy over the past few years, and I happen to agree with many of the company's more recent decisions. With few exceptions, I like where Samsung's flagship phones and One UI have been heading. However, the latest One UI 6.1 update reminded me that Samsung isn't perfect. […]
