The Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition features a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 8890 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a reduced battery capacity of 3200 mAh. The phone also features an S Pen and limited Bixby functionality. It doesn't feature the AI-powered digital assistant's voice recognition, but consumers can use Bixby Home and Bixby Reminder.
The phone also features a 12-megapixel primary camera with dual-pixel phase-detection autofocus and 4K video recording. There's a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, an iris scanner, and a fingerprint reader. It runs Android 7.0 out of the box, and its connectivity options include LTE, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition is priced at KRW 699,600 (close to $617), which is KRW 300,000 (close to $265) cheaper than the original Galaxy Note 7 at the time of its launch in the country. The company will sell 400,000 units of the Galaxy Note 7 FE through three cellular carriers in the country. Unlike the Galaxy Note 7, the Note 7 FE will be allowed to on flights.
