TL;DR

  • Leaked CAD renders suggest the Galaxy S27 series may add a fourth main model and bring a new design language, especially for the Ultra and possibly the Pro.
  • The Galaxy S27 Ultra is said to keep similar size, S Pen slot, and bottom-left speaker placement as the S26 Ultra, despite a redesigned camera housing.
  • The base S27, S27+, and S27 Pro may move the bottom speaker to the right side, and the Pro could also get a new camera layout, though the leak may be inaccurate.

A few more design cues for the entire Galaxy S27 series have just been revealed through a series of fan-made CAD renders. According to leaks, next year's Galaxy S27 series might finally introduce a fourth main-series model and a new aesthetic for at least the Ultra.

In fact, apart from the redesigned camera housing, @UniverseIce says the Galaxy S27 Ultra will have almost the same overall dimensions as the S26 Ultra.

For reference, the latter measures 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm and has a 6.9-inch display.

Moving on, beyond the redesigned camera housing, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will supposedly be relatively conservative in a couple of other key areas.

Namely, it apparently has the same S Pen holster and bottom speaker placement as the S26 Ultra — bottom-left.

Samsung has used this configuration for its Ultra models since the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

The rest of the upcoming S27 series does things a little differently, though. The source says the base S27, S27+, and S27 Pro have had the bottom speaker relocated from the left to the right side of the lower edge.

One render even shows an unusual S27 Pro design, and in a way, it's even more exciting than the Ultra. Let's check it out.

Will the Galaxy S27 Pro be better than initially thought?

Disappointingly, some recent rumors suggest that the Galaxy S27 Pro will be more similar to the Plus than the Ultra. However, these new renders tell a different story, at least as far as the external design is concerned.

The one odd thing we noticed in these leaked renders is that the Galaxy S27 Pro also appears to have a brand-new camera housing design, similar to the S27 Ultra.

It looks wider but not quite as wide as the S27 Ultra's, nor as narrow as the usual vertical island beneath Samsung's camera rings.

This could be an error or a bad CAD, or more hopefully, it could be a hint that the Pro model, if it exists, may be a more compact replica of the Ultra. Samsung's Pro might be to the Ultra what the Apple iPhone 17 Pro is to the 17 Pro Max.

That may be too good to be true, though, and even if the S27 Pro has a new camera housing design, there's no guarantee the housing holds Ultra-grade camera hardware. For now, let's wait for more details before we draw any definitive conclusions based on this one CAD render.

Samsung should announce the Galaxy S27 series in early 2027, so there's plenty of time left to uncover its mysteries.
