Galaxy S27 Ultra's possible design based on its CAD measurements

TL;DR

  • A leaked image suggests the Galaxy S27 Ultra may use a thick horizontal camera bar on the back with three rear cameras.
  • The design also appears to include a built-in magnetic ring for Qi2 wireless charging and compatible accessories.
  • Rumors point to a triple-camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto with 5x zoom.

After announcing the Galaxy S26 FE on August 27, Samsung's next high-end smartphone announcement will arrive in early 2027. The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil four Galaxy S27 series devices, and the design of the highest-end model, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, may have leaked.

Galaxy S27 Ultra could have a horizontal rectangular camera bar

Reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) has published an image that they claim depicts the basic design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. On the back, the device appears to feature a thick rectangular bar at the top, housing three camera sensors.

Two of the camera sensors have individual rings, while the third is embedded into a pill-shaped layout alongside laser autofocus module and an LED flash

The image also seems to reveal the location of a circular magnetic ring designed for Qi2 wireless charging and other compatible accessories. This suggests Samsung may finally include built-in magnets natively rather than forcing users to rely on cases to attach magnetic accessories.

Rumored Galaxy S27 Ultra camera specifications

Several past reports and rumors point to a triple-camera setup on the Galaxy S27 Ultra, featuring an upgraded 200MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS.

Because the overall layout of the phone, particularly the camera island, looks a lot like the iPhone 17 Pro, Samsung could face heavy criticism if it adopts this look.
