The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to be Samsung’s most advanced foldable smartphone yet. Despite costing more than Galaxy S Ultra devices, Galaxy Z Fold series phones have traditionally offered camera performance that falls short of Samsung’s flagship bar-style phones. That could begin to change with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Tipster Lanzuk claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could offer some of the same camera features and capabilities found on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The upcoming foldable phone is reportedly set to deliver significantly better image detail and improved low-light performance.
Its image processing and camera software are also said to receive notable upgrades.
Although four of its cameras reportedly use the same sensors as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to support video LUTs for live color grading. It will also reportedly support simultaneous video recording using the front and rear cameras.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is expected to be priced slightly lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and features only two rear cameras, reportedly won’t receive the same camera upgrades.
Based on recent reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to feature a 50MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and two 10MP front-facing cameras.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is rumored to feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and two 10MP front-facing cameras.
