The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and the Galaxy S27 Ultra next year. Rumors suggest the phone will be a slightly more compact version of the Galaxy S27 Ultra but without the S Pen stylus. A new leak also hints that it will inherit the Galaxy S26 Ultra's advanced display features for added privacy.
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims that Samsung is testing its Privacy Display feature for the Galaxy S27 Pro. The technology debuted with the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year and prevents bystanders from viewing the screen when looking from off angles. While the feature is currently exclusive to the Ultra model, it could expand to the Galaxy S27 Pro early next year.
Recent rumors indicate that the Galaxy S27 Pro features a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution and a 1Hz–120Hz variable refresh rate. For imaging, it could include a 12MP front-facing camera, a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
Under the hood, the phone is said to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip, paired with 12GB or more of RAM and at least 256GB of storage space. It will likely run One UI 9.5 out of the box and receive seven years of software update support. Other expected features include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, fast wireless charging, and Samsung Pay.
By omitting the S Pen stylus, Samsung could use that freed-up internal space for a larger battery. Despite its smaller physical footprint compared to the Ultra series, the Galaxy S27 Pro is rumored to pack a 5,000mAh battery. It is also expected to support 45W wired fast charging and 20W fast wireless charging.
