Less than a day after the Galaxy S26 series was officially announced, Samsung has initiated the global rollout of the latest software update for the Galaxy S25 lineup. This update brings the February 2026 security patch to the S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, and S25 Edge.
The update debuted in Korea earlier this week and is now rolling out widely in multiple regions, including Asia and Europe. Depending on which S25 model you own, the build number for the update will either end in BZB5 or AZB6. To download it, head into the phone's Settings > Software update menu.
Could this be the last security update for the Galaxy S25 lineup before Samsung begins rolling out the official One UI 8.5 update? Now that Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S26 series, One UI 8.5 is one step closer to its public release for existing devices, but exactly when that will happen remains unclear.
For now, Samsung is likely to focus on bringing the latest security patch to more eligible devices. The rollout of the February 2026 security update began very late in the month and, at the time of writing, is available for only a handful of Galaxy smartphones.
