A couple of weeks ago, Samsung released the first One UI 5.0 beta update to the Galaxy S22 series in Germany, South Korea, and the US. It wasn't available in other markets where the company usually releases One UI beta updates. The company corrected that today by releasing the update in India and the UK.

The One UI 5.0 beta update released in India and the UK is the second beta update that has now also been released in South Korea and the US. It brings a lot of bug fixes, performance improvements, and refreshed app icons for Samsung's stock apps. The new update comes with the firmware version ending ZVHK.

In the markets where the One UI 5.0 beta update has been released for the first time, the update has a download size of around 3GB. In markets where it has been released as the second beta update, the download size is approximately 1GB (1,116.92MB in the US).

What's new in the One UI 5.0 beta 2 update?

The new One UI 5.0 beta update, based on Android 13, brings a Smart Suggestions Widget. It suggests useful apps and new features. It also brings the Maintenance Mode that you can activate to hide personal data while sharing your device with the service center for repairs.

Samsung has also added the Privacy Detection feature. It lets you know when you're trying to share photos that have sensitive information, such as credit cards, ID cards, and passports, so you can reconsider whether you really want to share them with others. The Bixby Routines feature has received the Lifestyle Mode with the new One UI 5.0 beta update.

Samsung has also fixed several bugs related to auto screen rotation, S Pen, home screen, copying/forwarding messages via the Samsung Messages app, lock screen, empty notification panel, link copying, screen capture, power saving mode, and Bixby Routines. Samsung has also fixed bugs related to the media player not appearing for some apps on the lock screen.

The South Korean firm has mentioned in the changelog that some issues haven't been fixed yet. For example, if you don't update the Samsung Wallet app after the update, it could automatically be removed from the operating system. And you would need to download it manually.

The company also said that there could be a few issues in the operation of Samsung Wallet's Digital Key feature, and if you face that problem, delete the Digital Key and register it again.
