Samsung is the undoubted leader of the flagship smartphone segment. The South Korean firm has already released three generations of Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series devices, and its rivals are still struggling with their first-generation devices. Now, OPPO has revealed its first foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N.

The Chinese firm released a teaser video of the OPPO Find N for the first time, and it is similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The device appears to feature a cover display and an internal foldable display. It also has a triple-camera setup at the rear, similar to Samsung's foldable phone. However, there are a few differences in terms of size. The OPPO Find N is shorter and wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which has its own advantages and disadvantages.

It is being rumored that OPPO's first foldable smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch curved cover display with Full HD+ resolution and an 8-inch internal foldable display with QHD+ resolution. Only the inner screen is rumored to feature a 120Hz refresh rate. It might have a 32MP selfie camera and a 50MP+16MP+13MP triple-camera setup at the rear.

The OPPO Find N could come equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor, at least 12GB RAM, and at least 256GB internal storage. The phone could run Android 11 out of the box. It is rumored to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and feature 65W wired charging. The smartphone will be fully revealed at the Chinese firm's annual event (OPPO INNO Day 2021) on December 15, 2021.

Unless the OPPO Find N has an IPX8 rating for water resistance and runs Android 12 out of the box when it launches, the smartphone could be DoA (Dead on Arrival) since the Galaxy Z Fold 3 already has those features. Moreover, Samsung's One UI 4 is more refined and thoughtful than OPPO's ColorOS 12. Still, it's great to see some competition in the market, which is always great for consumers.

Even Apple, Google, OnePlus, and Vivo are said to be working on their own foldable phones, and Huawei and Xiaomi have already released such devices.
