It looks like the One UI 6.0 Beta Program is coming to an end, as Samsung has already released seven beta updates based on Android 14 to the Galaxy S23. Ever since the first One UI 6.0 beta update was released to the Galaxy S23 series two months ago, Samsung has consistently improved the speed, fluidity, and reliability of the software with new beta updates every few weeks. And now, the company has confirmed some of the improvements it did with newer beta releases.

One UI 6.0 Beta Program could be coming to an end; stable Android 14 update could be released soon

Samsung has posted (via @tarunvats33) in its official forum that it has improved several things with the newer One UI 6.0 beta releases, thanks to feedback from beta testers and members of the community. The company added date and time information in the Quick Panel view and improved the visibility of icons and text there. Samsung also reduced the size of app icons on the home screen and the app drawer. It also confirms that it improved the animations when opening and closing applications.

The South Korean firm also fixed the bug where the extended media player widget's state was not remembered on the lock screen and the notifications area. With One UI 6.0, Samsung introduced a new design for emojis, but users said the colors and resolution of the emojis weren't good enough. Samsung improved the colors and details of the emojis. It also improved the transparency of the back gesture icon.

The company thanked beta testers for testing the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta on their smartphones. Looking at this announcement, it looks like Samsung is done testing One UI 6.0, and we could soon see the release of the stable version of Android 14 any day now, at least for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
