If you like to draw or enjoy digital art by others, you're bound to find enjoyment from using the PENUP app developed by Samsung for artists and aspiring artists aged 13 and up.

PENUP is a coloring book and digital drawing app, a social media platform, and a place to find new and fun art challenges, all combined into one.

Even though PENUP works best with Galaxy devices that support the S Pen, the app is not limited to stylus-enabled phones and tablets. You can enjoy coloring or, at least, the social media aspect of the app on any Galaxy phone, even those that don't support the iconic stylus accessory.

Throughout the week, we'll dive deep into the PENUP app from Samsung and show you everything you might find of interest. The app's home page serves as a solid foundation, so let's start with that.

    Story continues after the video

Samsung PENUP is one of the most creative spaces on your Galaxy device

If you don't know where to start with PENUP or digital drawing in general, the PENUP homepage is the place to be. You don't need an S Pen or even an inclination to draw to enjoy the social aspects of PENUP.

From the Home tab inside the app, you can follow the most popular artists and check out the highest-rated daily drawings, follow or join new challenges, and access digital art from other PENUP users through a variety of categories curated by Samsung and the community.

You can follow artists, comment on their drawings, share them, set them as wallpapers for your Galaxy device, and even view a list of PENUP users who have already liked the art piece you're viewing. You can follow those users as well, which means PENUP is set up in a way that encourages finding new artists and making new friends.

It's a fantastic place for discovering new art and connecting with other PENUP users. And every artist you follow will show up in the “My feed” tab, so you can keep up with their most recent activities.

Once you're ready to test your skills, you can tap one of the options at the top, such as “Drawing” or “Photo drawing,” or you can access the latest and/or most popular coloring pages directly from the Home tab.

We'll explore the PENUP coloring book and drawing tools throughout the week, but for now, feel free to explore the Home section of the app, watch other users' live drawings, and populate your custom feed section.

There's a lot to take in and many ways through which you can find new art, get inspired, and connect with PENUP artists. Once you go exploring, PENUP becomes one of the most social Samsung apps, so why not do that? S Pen or no.
