One UI 6 brings a new vibration setting for notifications

With the Android 14-based One UI 6 update, Samsung has introduced many new and improved features to the Galaxy S23 series. One such new feature is the option to sync the notification vibration pattern with the selected ringtone. This option isn't available on phones running One UI 5.1.1, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, it is strangely available on the Galaxy S22 (it may have been added with the August 2023 update).

One UI 6 allows users to choose a new notification vibration pattern. With the ‘Sync With Notification Sound' option selected, the phone will try to sync the vibration pattern with the music of the notification. Earlier, the options were limited to Off/Silent, Short, Medium, Basic, Heartbeat, Ticktock, Waltz, and Zig-Zig-Zig. The new vibration pattern works well with stock (built-in) notification sounds, but we haven't tested it with other ringtones or music tracks yet.

While Samsung released the One UI 6.0 changelog when it released the first beta update to the Galaxy S23 series, some minor changes weren't listed. Since its initial release, we have discovered new and unannounced features in One UI 6, including the ability to mirror the phone's screen to Google Cast devices via the Smart View option.

The One UI 6.0 Beta update is available in Europe, South Korea, and the US. More countries are expected to join the beta update list later this week when Samsung is expected to release the second One UI 6.0 beta update. Samsung may continue to add more features to One UI 6 over the next few weeks.

In our detailed video below, you can view all the important new features that One UI 6.0 brings.
