Samsung Galaxy device users now have access to an even smarter Bing AI through their SwiftKey keyboards. Microsoft is rolling out a new update that enriches the AI with a new “Compose” tool.

The Compose feature in SwiftKey complements the existing Search, Tone, and Chat functions. The Bing AI's Compose tool can automatically draft text according to the parameters set by users.

The new tool can be instructed about the tone, format, and length of the draft text you want Bing AI to generate for you. Microsoft says the new Compose feature can “do the heavy lifting for you” and, for example, write an email in your stead to a service provider when you're looking for a resolution on an issue.

Bing AI on Galaxy phones and tablets is becoming stronger

Although Samsung has reportedly decided against replacing Google Search with Bing as the default search engine for Galaxy devices, Bing AI already made its way onto millions of Galaxy phones and tablets a few weeks ago when Microsoft embedded this tool into its SwiftKey keyboard.

SwiftKey is available as a pre-loaded optional keyboard in Samsung's One UI, so essentially, Bing AI is now present in countless Galaxy devices, even though it may be inactive for users in select markets or those who prefer Samsung Keyboard as their default input method.

Bing AI is a generative AI similar to ChatGPT or Google Bard. It can be conversational, create text, and give answers on the fly using an expansive cloud-based pool of knowledge cleverly gathered from the open internet.
