Samsung's Enterprise Edition device portfolio in Germany is about to expand with the help of a couple of productivity-oriented devices that were unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked 2020. The company is launching its second 5G-enabled Enterprise Edition smartphone, the Galaxy Note 20 5G, and for the first time Samsung is bringing a tablet to the enterprise space with the Galaxy Tab S7 Enterprise Edition.

Both Enterprise Edition devices are bound to ship with one year of access to Knox Suite free of charge. Knox Suite was launched earlier this year and bundles the company's four leading mobile enterprise solutions including Knox Manage, Knox Platform for Enterprise, Knox Mobile Enrollment, and Knox E-FOTA, the latter of which was released in Germany back in May.

Both devices will be available next month

The Galaxy Note 20 5G and Galaxy Tab S7 Enterprise Edition will go on sale in Germany through authorized retailers from mid-September. The smartphone will cost 1,059 euro while the tablet will launch for 809 euros.

The Galaxy Note 20 5G as well as the Galaxy Tab S7 should make for great Enterprise Edition devices for a few reasons, not least of which is the S Pen coupled with the updated Samsung Notes app. Both devices also support the new Wireless DeX mode via Miracast which lets users run DeX on a TV without any cables. The Galaxy Note 20 5G and Galaxy Tab S7 can function like regular smartphones and tablets, respectively, when running Wireless DeX, or they can double as trackpads.

Samsung Germany made no mention of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or the Galaxy Tab S7+ entering the enterprise space. Likewise, the Galaxy Tab S7 Enterprise Edition will be LTE-enabled, which explains the 809 euro price, but there was no mention of the Wi-Fi-only variant joining it in the business segment.
