Samsung confirmed its recently announced 8K QLED TVs will soon be released in Malaysia. Following their January debut at CES 2020, the world's first TVs with Wi-Fi 6 support will become available for purchase in Malaysia next month. The local division of Samsung has yet to attach a specific release date to any member of its latest smart TV family.

Samsung's 2020 ultra-premium TVs are spread out across several distinct models: The Frame, The Sero, The Serif, and the impressively bezel-less Q950TS, which is also the de facto face of the series. With diagonals ranging from 55 to 85 inches, the company's new TVs are targeting virtually every modern viewing setting, using profound AI integrations as their common starting point.

Samsung's latest 8K TVs arriving to Malaysia in May

The company's latest and greatest smart television sets are already listed on Samsung Malaysia's pages, albeit without pricing information. That isn't to say we don't know what to expect as Samsung's Dutch division recently placed the Q950TS's starting price at €6,000, which amounts to just over 28,000 ringgit. The 85-inch model, on the other hand, is releasing at over €13,700 (65,000 ringgit). The TVs should still be somewhat cheaper than in the Netherlands given how the Malaysian Sales and Service Tax is rather lightweight (6%) compared to the Dutch VAT rate (21%), not to mention the difference in per capita purchasing powers between the two countries.

Much like their marketing monikers imply, The Sero, The Serif, and the Frame are part of Samsung's so-called Lifestyle TV portfolio, whereas the Q950TS is positioned as a solution for the most hardcore niche of viewers with deep pockets.

Local consumers interested in staying on top of pricing and availability news concerning these state-of-the-art TVs can sign up for email updates from Samsung Malaysia.
