South Korean software developer Hancom Inc. today confirmed that the Hancom Office Mobile for Galaxy Note 8 productivity suite is now available as a free download. The full-featured mobile office suite has support for Samsung DeX. It has been designed for the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

It was reported last month that Hancom Office S will be pre-installed on all Note 8 variants sold in the United States. It's not uncommon for Samsung to bundle third-party apps with its smartphones. It bundled Microsoft Office with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Hancom Office Mobile for Galaxy Note 8 includes apps for word processing, spreadsheet calculation and presentation graphics. They're “highly compatible” with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The full-featured version of Hancom Office Mobile has been optimized for use with Samsung DeX. The apps automatically switch to the larger desktop mode when the user connects their 2017 Samsung flagship to a DeX station. This enables them to use a full-sized keyboard, mouse and large external monitor to get things done.

The DeX-optimized version of Hancom Office Mobile for Galaxy Note 8 is now available as a free download globally via Samsung Galaxy Apps. It's also available as a free download for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners.
