Samsung Galaxy Note 8 reportedly codenamed ‘Baikal’

Samsung recently confirmed that it is not giving up on the Galaxy Note series even after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. It is now being reported that the South Korean smartphone giant’s next phablet, the Galaxy Note 8, is codenamed ‘Baikal.’ For those who aren’t in the know, Baikal is a lake situated in southern Siberia, considered to be the deepest lake in the world.

The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a 4K display (for better VR experience) and the AI-powered virtual assistant Bixby. Samsung will reportedly source batteries for the device from LG. Nothing much is known about the upcoming phablet as of now, but we will keep on reporting about the device as and when we get any new information about it.

People will always find something to complain about,we all want this perfect phone, but gues what, nothing is ever perfect.
If it’s not about the device missing this and that, then it’s the price, what exactly do we want.

This new Note phone will be no good to me if it does not have a user removabe battery…I have used Notes 1 2 3 and 4 and I have charged my batteries in external battery chargers…and that is the best way to charge batteries (externally) …..so I am SAD……… Because a sealed up Note 8 will be no good for me.

I hope Samsung won’t delay this phone too long. I can’t really wait much longer and I don’t know if it will be what I want because samsung is not letting any leaks out. I don’t want foldable screen etc… might as well get another brand because on 4GB of RAM on s8 is not tempting me at all.

Can you please give me an example on an app that needs more than 4 gb ( 2gb for that matter ) of RAM to function ? Chinese companies will push the limits using the cheapest technologies and then people will immediately expect Samsung to provide them with highest quality and newest technologies of the same capacity. And if Samsung does eventually listen to its customers and give them what they want ( which is an overkill these days ) they will complain about how high the prices are. Take it or leave it man, 4GB of Samsungs’ RAM equals… Read more »

Because they have a ton of spare parts from Note7 to use up (which had 4 GB ram) and because they will want to cover their losses from Note7 fiasco. Did you not also pick up that s8 will be priced 100 EUR more than usual despite no increase in ram etc?
