After the sad and unexpected early demise of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is doing all it can to maintain the sales of its current generation flagship smartphone. The company launched three new color variants – Black Pearl, Blue Coral, and Pink Gold – of the Galaxy S7 edge in a few markets. After launching two of these variants earlier this month in India, Samsung is now believed to be prepping for the launch of the Black Pearl variant in the country.

It is being reported by MySmartPrice that Samsung will launch the Black Pearl variant of the Galaxy S7 edge in the first week of January 2017. They've received information from a trusted retailer that the new color variant will be priced at INR 56,900 (close to $885), and that some retailers have already started taking preorders. This new variant was first launched in South Korea, and it comes with 128GB of internal storage as opposed to 32GB/64GB in other color variants. The company started listing the Pink Gold variant of the device in India earlier this week.
