For the past couple of years Samsung has been launching new Galaxy Note handsets at IFA Berlin which takes place in September. This time around it appears that the company is moving up the launch to August, some analysts believe Samsung is doing this to hold off competition from the new iPhones that are due this September. The company officially announced the date for its next Unpacked event over a week ago but today it’s reminding you to “Note the Date” as it gears up to launch some new products.

It’s not unusual for Samsung to drop hints about the products that it will be launching at an upcoming event, it has done that in the past as well, so you can draw your own conclusions about what the company means by “Note the Date.” Just in case you forgot, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event will take place on August 13 at 11:00 EDT in New York City. Don’t worry if you don’t have an invite to the event because it will be live streamed on YouTube as well as on the Samsung Tomorrow blog.
