The South Korean TV giant has announced that four of its Neo QLED TVs—QN900, QN800, QN90, QN85—are the first in the industry to receive VDE's ‘Gaming TV Performance' certification. VDE is a globally well-regarded certification institute from Germany that specializes in electrical engineering and inspection. Samsung's new high-end TVs have an extremely low input lag of 10ms, offering an immersive gaming experience. The TVs can also reach a peak brightness of higher than 1,000 nits, offering great HDR performance.
Samsung's new TVs also feature AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to offer HDR and adaptive refresh rate (tear-free gaming) at the same time. Other gaming-related features of Neo QLED TVs include Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ (a 120Hz refresh rate), Game Bar, and Wide Game View (21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide aspect ratio). Picture and audio quality are also improved, thanks to 100% color volume, deeper blacks, better control over local dimming (via mini-LED backlighting), and Object Sound Tracking+. They are great when paired with high-end gaming PCs or gaming consoles like the PS5 and the Xbox Series X.
Yonghoon Choi, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, “An increasing number of gamers look for large screen displays with high-end picture quality when shopping for a TV, and Samsung continues to lead the TV-focused gaming experience.“
