US Galaxy A20 owners can now install September 2022 security update on their phones

The Galaxy A20 is now getting the September 2022 security update in the US. The update is currently only available for the unlocked version of the smartphone in the US. No other variant of this 3.5-year-old smartphone has received this update yet.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A20's unlocked variant comes with firmware version A205U1UESDCVI1. The update brings the September 2022 security patch that fixes over two dozen security vulnerabilities. It might also fix some general bugs and improve the stability of the device.

If you are a Galaxy A20 user in the US with an unlocked model, you can download and install the new update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A20 in early 2019, running Android 9 out of the box. The smartphone received the Android 10 update in 2020 and the Android 11 update in 2021.
