One of Samsung's most affordable smartphones of the year — the Galaxy A13 LTE — is now available online in the USA. If the Galaxy A13 sounds familiar, it's because the 5G model debuted in the USA in December. Samsung announced the LTE variant last month, and it's now putting it on sale for prospective buyers in the USA for only $189.

This unassuming smartphone has the potential of becoming Samsung's most successful in 2022. At the very least, the Galaxy A12 was the company's top-selling phone in 2021.

The new Galaxy A13 is now available through the e-shop and Samsung's business portal. Business customers can take advantage of the Samsung Care+ for Business warranty service.

What can you get from a $189 Galaxy phone?

The Galaxy A13 has built-in Knox Security protection and offers Secure Folder encryption and Private Share. The latter allows business employees to send files with custom time expiration limits.

The Galaxy A13 LTE looks similar to the more expensive 5G variant, but it's not identical. On the outside, the most striking difference lies in the now-quad-camera setup.

The newer Galaxy A13 LTE has an additional 2MP macro camera for a quad setup, and an upgraded 8MP selfie sensor. A 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP depth camera complete the array.

The LTE model reverts to a 60Hz PLS LCD, down from the 5G variant's 90Hz PLS LCD. However, what it loses in refresh rate, it gains in better Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection and a higher resolution of 2408 x 1080 (up from 1600 x 720). The device

Last but not least, Galaxy A13 LTE is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging and has the Exynos 850 chipset. Customers can enjoy Android 12 and One UI 4.1 from day one.
