Counterpoint Research's analysis on the global NAND market in Q2 2026
Counterpoint Research says that Samsung faced capacity constraints with NAND output as it has prioritized the higher-margin DRAM. If that wasn’t the case, the South Korean tech giant may have been way ahead of its rivals.
According to the firm, the eSSDs will account for half of the total NAND market by the end of this year. It will squeeze consumer SSD supply, pushing the average selling prices (ASPs) of consumer SSDs even higher.
