TL;DR

  • Samsung has started rolling out new global updates for the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 FE.
  • The updates focus on stability, reliability, and overall device behavior rather than a security patch.
  • Update sizes and firmware versions vary by model, and users can check for them in Settings > Software update.

Samsung has released new updates for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S25 FE. Considering that One UI 9.0 (Android 17) is already out for these devices and the latest updates are arriving in November, you may think that it brings the November 2026 security patch, which the brand detailed a few days ago. However, that’s not the case.

The latest updates for the four phones seem to bring under-the-hood changes to improve their stability and reliability. The company says they should offer improved device behavior. The updates are live globally. The one for the Plus model is 711.80MB and carries firmware version S936BXXUDDZJB. That for the FE model is 464.58MB in size and carries firmware version S731BXXUACZJC (via Tarun Vats).

To check the availability of the latest updates for the Galaxy S25 series and to get these updates, go to Settings > Software update > Check for update.

On a related note, Samsung is in the advanced stages of developing One UI 9.5 and is planning for One UI 10.0 (Android 18). Galaxy S25 series is eligible for both.
